knee surgery part two!

monday i had knee surgery again. this time on my left knee. the surgery went well but unfortunately i didn't wake up from the surgery well. i woke up shaking and in convulsions and crying. they had to shoot me up with something to stop the shaking and some morphine. it was really scary and i kept asking for my fiance kason {i love saying that!} and my mom but they wouldn't let them in until i was stable. luckily all was well in 30 min and they were able to come in. also, this time they gave me better pain pills. i love pain meds! the only downside is it makes me dizzy, but it takes the pain away. this time my surgery was definitely better because i have a wonderful fiance who has spent all week taking care of me after working all day. seriously he has done everything for me and i am so grateful! i also need to thank my mom. she is amazing! last night my mom and kason even washed my hair for me while i was laying on the couch! {see above pics} anyway i am on my way to recovery and i am so excited because pretty soon my knees are going to be as good as new! {almost!}

engaged and happy!

i'm engaged! that's right kason asked me to be his wife for time and all eternity last night and of course i said yes! my sister karissa (aka juan) was in on the whole thing and took me to a few special spots were there was a letter waiting for me. the last spot was a little hill slash mountain and he was there and got down on one knee and popped the question! i seriously couldn't be happier! i love kason so incredibly much and i am so excited for the day when we get to enter the temple and be sealed forever! its been a long bumpy journey but its worth it. i am so thankful that kason didn't give up on me! i am so happy! i am officially the future kali amanda ashe!


ps my ring has to get made so i won't have it for a while. instead i am sporting an awesome $8.88 ring from wall mart! :)

pps so i am a terrible friend and totally forgot to take pictures at graham and jessica's wedding! jessica looked beautiful and the reception was amazing. i am so happy for them! congrats jess! i love you!

bluewater, nm

last week i was able to go to my cabin in bluewater new mexico with my fam. we have a cabin up there and some family because that is where my grandma grew up. we have been going up there every year since before i was born and i absolutely love it! it is my favorite place to go. its kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it really is the greatest place ever! my family and i had so much fun relaxing and enjoying the cool weather. unfortunately we did have some unlucky car situations, but the trip was still great. {we blew a tire on the trailer on the way up and the transmission on our suburban went. aka our suburban is still in new mexico!} the best part about the trip was that kason was able to come up half way through the week! we had a blast! oh and happy 4th of july! we had an awesome 4th complete with fireworks! {they aren't illegal in nm} anyway, the week was great!

science center = Fun with a capital F!

so i am a bad blogger. this weekend i had so much fun and totally forgot to bring my camera for blogging purposes. on friday kason and i went to the arizona science center. i am telling you this place is awesome. we went to the platentarium which was totally cool and saw this movie about black holes. did you know that if you were getting sucked into a black hole you would be spagettified? well now you know. we also went to the grossology exhibit. it was so gross yet so fun! i loved it. if one day you are thinking to yourself, man i want to do something spectacular, i suggest the science center.

ashley young!!

yesterday one of my best friends went from ashley hatch to ashley young. that's right y'all she tied the knot and i couldn't be happier for her. they are so cute together and i swear dallin was made for her. congrats ash! i love you tons! best wishes on your life as a married couple! luv ya!
